What is refrigerant gas?
Air conditioners generally use refrigerant gas for their refrigeration cycle to cool the environment. Gas refrigerants reach different states during this refrigeration cycle. In this way, by changing pressure and temperature, they rotate from gas to liquid and vice versa, and may change from a high-pressure, high-temperature gas refrigerant to a low-pressure, low-temperature liquid refrigerant. In fact, by successively rotating and changing the phase of this refrigerant, air conditioners achieve their goal. Refrigerant is generally present in two phases, liquid and gas.
What is the reason that there are different types of refrigerants?
Over time, different refrigerants were selected for refrigeration systems and then changed as the system evolved. One of the reasons for this change was the level of pollutants in the refrigerants. With the development of refrigerant research, it has gradually come to the conclusion that a refrigerant has more costly and destructive costs than its benefits.
- Toxicity of gas refrigerant
- Its flammability
- Dangerous safety issues
- As well as its pollution to the environment
It was one of the reasons for changing refrigerants. So one refrigerant was discarded and replaced with another refrigerant. Even now, despite the use of many refrigerants, some of them are considered harmful, polluting and dangerous, and different countries have laws depending on the volume and geographical location of its use. Finally, the use of a refrigerant gas may be prohibited in one country or union, but it may continue to be used elsewhere on earth. Although some of them are destructive, they are still used; But researchers’ efforts to identify losses and replace them cannot be ignored. Any refrigerant that is considered polluting and dangerous will be replaced with another refrigerant or its use will be very limited when there is no choice.
