One of the applications of Rooftop package is that if a heating coil is installed in it, heating can be added to the programs of this package. The most common heat coils in rooftop packages are water coils, which supply their heat source from the hot water produced by the boiler. Hot water vapor does the same for heating a package rooftop. In this function, the fan coil acts like a heat exchanger.

In this case, the heated air of the building goes to the roof and enters the rooftop package. As the refrigerant circulates in the cycle and the phase and pressure change, this hot air loses its heat and turns into low-temperature air that will re-enter the building.
Airing
Ventilation in the rooftop package is the responsibility of the air conditioner and one of the most important equipments in this section is its fan. This fan is selected based on the amount of ventilation volume and pressure drop between the air conditioning part of the package and the most resistant channel path. Also, filtration is one of the applications of this package.

Is the use of Rooftop package limited?
As we have seen so far, there is not much control over the quality of the air leaving the rooftop packages. For example, conference halls or cinemas, halls, mosques, schools and educational centers, administrative departments, museums whose contents are not so at risk of temperature change, libraries and any gathering place.
As mentioned, the Rooftop package is a closed package that holds the devices inside. Therefore, the external appearance of the package rooftop is not an appearance that gives an installation effect to the roof. It is the lack of connections and the package that achieve this result. In this way, it is not a problem for home use and rooftops where people are supposed to travel, and it does not make it look ugly.
